PEACETIME ROUTES

1.PEACETIME ROUTES

• (a)A route that any active guardsmen may travel on when not deployed.
• (b)Routes should facilitate travel between Military Installations.
  • (i)Ridgeway National Guard Armory
  • (ii)Military Exclusion Zone
  • (iii)Palmer National Guard Recruitment Office
  • (iv)Milton National Guard Recruitment Office
  • (v)Ridgeway Manor

1.AUTHORIZED INDIVIDUALS

• (a)Members of the Military Police and SFOD-B 2110 shall have the ability to travel between Military Installations at their own discretion.
• (b)Military Police Officers have the ability to patrol the peacetime routes.
• (c)Any active-duty guardsmen at the rank of Private First Class shall have the ability to travel between Military Installations.
  • (i)Privates are permitted to accompany a Private First Class+ on a PTR route.

1.TRAVELING ON THE PEACETIME ROUTES

• (a)Guardsmen are prohibited from stopping during travel between Military Installations.
• (b)Guardsmen must stay on the route that a peacetime route has been established for.
• (c)Guardsmen must adhere to all traffic laws, including speed limits during travel between Military Installations.
• (d)Guardsmen must maintain a professional stature at all times when stationed at a Military Installation.
• (e)Guardsmen should make every effort to avoid passing by situations that pose a significant threat to life; guardsmen can turn around if needed and notify a peace officer to handle the situation.
• (f)Guardsmen are expected to use correct radio transmissions when engaging in a peacetime route, as follows:
  • (i)“Travelling on PTR - [“LOCATION']” within Global and Department channel on the Radio.
  • (ii)“Returning on PTR - [“LOCATION']” within Global and Department channel on the Radio.

1.EXEMPTIONS

• (a)Members of the Military Police may diverge from a peacetime route should their service and assistance be explicitly REQUESTED by another law enforcement agency, given they return back to the peacetime route once the situation is handled.
  • (i)Military Police may diverge if they witness a crime that could lead to a serious bodily harm or the loss of life.
  • (ii)Military Police may respond to shots that occur within the general vicinity of the peacetime route area they’re travelling/patrolling on.
  • (iii)Military Police may respond to a panic request if there is not enough law enforcement on, or they are within the general vicinity of the panic request.
  • (iv)Military Police may diverge from the peacetime routes to follow/observe a guardsman who has departed from base to ensure that they are following all state laws, traffic laws, and following all operational regulations..
• (b)Members of SFOD-B 2110 may diverge from a peacetime route should they be explicitly REQUESTED by another Law Enforcement Agency given that there is an insufficient amount of Peace Officers within said server.
  • (i)Members of the SFOD-B 2110 shall have the ability to depart from peace time routes, during peace time at the discretion of the Adjutant General. Only upon request of the Special Forces Detachment Commanding Officer or his designees for the purposes of a training exercise, or operation.
  • (ii)The Special Forces Detachment
• (c)Guardsmen are prohibited from coming to a stop unless;
  • (i)There is a significant threat to life,
  • (ii)Vehicle has been flipped,
  • (iii)Vehicle requires gas.

1.RESTRICTIONS

• (a)There shall be no more than 10 active-duty guardsmen and 3 Non-Commissioned Officers at the rank of Corporal or higher stationed at each Ridgeway National Guard Recruitment Office.
  • (i)The 3 Non-Commissioned Officers shall count towards the 10 active-duty guardsmen limit.
• (b)Guardsmen must return to RNG Headquarters when ordered to do so by any superior officer for any reason.
• (c)Guardsmen must return to RNG Headquarters when ordered to do so lawfully by any Military Police Officer.
• (d)Guardsmen must return to RNG Headquarters when requested for assistance within the Military Exclusion Zone.

1.SURROUNDING AREAS

• (a)Should there be a situation that could result in serious bodily harm or loss of life in the surrounding areas of a Military Installation, guardsmen may respond to the surrounding area to deal with the immediate threat.
  • (i)Example: Palmer Office: no further than Palmer Car Dealership, Bloxmart and the Palmer Police Department.
• (b)Guardsmen must call for assistance by informing law enforcement officers and may provide assistance to neutralize any threats, once the threats have been neutralized, the guardsmen must return back to the installation.
