VEHICLE POLICY

1.GENERAL VEHICLE REGULATIONS

(a)Guardsmen who are not actively within the Military Police Battalion should not be utilizing military police vehicles.
- (i)Unless the Guardsman is stranded, and they are attempting to make their way to the nearest vehicle spawner.
  - The Guardsman may not make use of the emergency lighting system when driving the military police vehicle to the nearest spawner.
(b)Guardsmen may utilize the vehicle radio feature so long as the audio is appropriate and not obnoxious.
- (i)Guardsmen must turn off the vehicle radio if ordered to by a Non-Commissioned Officer or higher, or a Military Police Officer.
(c)Guardsmen must abide by all state laws, traffic laws, and national guard regulations while using an official national guard vehicle.
(d)Guardsmen must not use any national guard vehicles for personal use or when not actively representing the guard.
(e)Guardsman must not have any Residents in their vehicle at any time.
- (i)Unless the guardsman is giving the civilian a ride to the nearest car dealership.
- (ii)Unless the person is authorized to be in the vehicle by Battalion Command or higher.
(f)Guardsmen must not drive vehicles from other departments unless in exigent circumstances.
(g)Guardsmen must not be on a ride-along with another department unless explicit permission has been given by Battalion Command or higher, and the guardsman does not bring any national guard equipment other than a radio.
(h)Violation of any point in OPREG-1007 [“Vehicle Usage”] will result in disciplinary action from the Military Police Investigations.

2.NATIONAL GUARD VEHICLE RESTRICTIONS

(a)RNG Lancelot
- (i)May be used by all guardsmen when conducting their official duties.
- (ii)May not be used when departing base.
(b)RNG Jaguar
- (i)May be used by guardsmen during State of Emergencies and Mutual Aid requests.
- (ii)May not be used when departing base.
- (iii)May be used when authorized by TS/INF Battalion Command or higher.
- (iv)May be used within the Military Exclusion Zone when guardsmen are conducting their official duties.
(c)RNG Recon Jaguar
- (i)May be used by the 7th Special Operations Battalion within reason.
- (ii)May not be used when departing base.
- (iii)May be used when authorized by TS/INF Battalion Command or higher.
- (iv)May be used within the Military Exclusion Zone when guardsmen are conducting their official duties.
(d)RNG Utility Jaguar
- (i)May be used by guardsmen during State of Emergencies and Mutual Aid requests.
- (ii)May be used by guardsmen if 6 seater transportation is required.
- (iii)May not be used when departing base.
- (iv)May be used when authorized by TS/INF Battalion Command or higher.
- (v)May be used within the Military Exclusion Zone when guardsmen are conducting their official duties.
(e)RNG Combat Jaguar
- (i)May be used by guardsmen during combat situations.
- (ii)May not be used when departing base.
- (iii)May be used when authorized by INF or CSB Battalion Command or higher.
- (iv)May be used by Major+ regardless of situation.
(f)RNG Percivel
- (i)May be used when departing base.
- (ii)May be used by Training Staff when conducting their official duties.
(g)RNG ATV
- (i)May be used by all guardsmen when conducting their official duties.
- (ii)May not be used when departing base.

3.NATIONAL GUARD MILITARY POLICE VEHICLE RESTRICTIONS

(a)RNG MP Lancelot
- (i)May be used only by Military Police when conducting their official duties.
(b)RNG MP Lancaster
- (i)May be used only by Military Police when conducting their official duties.
(c)RNG Visco
- (i)May be used only by Military Police who hold the rank of Sergeant or higher when conducting their official duties.
(d)MP Jaguar
- (i)May be used by Military Police during State of Emergencies or Mutual Aid requests.
- (ii)May be used when authorized by MP Battalion Command or higher.
- (iii)May be used within the Military Exclusion Zone when Military Police are conducting their official duties.
(e)RNG MP Merlat
- (i)May be used only by Military Police when conducting their official duties.
(f)Unmarked Percivel
- (i)May be used by Military Police Investigations when conducting their official duties.
- (ii)May be used by Military Police High Command or higher.
(g)Unmarked Merlat
- (i)May be used by the Military Police Investigations Command when conducting their official duties.
- (ii)May be used by Military Police High Command or higher.
(h)RNG MP Cavela
- (i)May be used only by Military Police when conducting their official duties.
(i)Unmarked Gridlock
- (i)May only be used by authorised individuals when transport requiring more than 6 seats is required.
- (ii)Authorised individuals are considered following:
  - (a) Military Police at the rank of Specialist or above.
  - (b) Special Forces members holding a LETC certification.
    - Special Forces must not utilise the Emergency Lighting System whilst operating the vehicle.
  - (c) Military Police Investigators.
  - (d) Guardsmen at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel+
(j)Civilian Vehicle Usage
- (i)Only to be used by the Military Police Investigations when authorized by Battalion Command or higher.

4.EXEMPTIONS

(a)Headquarters shall be exempt from all vehicle restrictions in OPREG-1007 [“Vehicle Usage”].
(b)Headquarters shall have the authority to reasonably issue an exemption OPREG-1007 [“Vehicle Usage”].
(c)Headquarters shall have the authority to change anything within OPREG-1007 [“Vehicle Usage”].
