GROOMING POLICY

1.ACCESSORY REGULATIONS

• (a)The following accessories and hands shall be regulated:
  • (i)Uniforms not approved by the Quartermasters Corps are not allowed to be used.
  • (ii)No shoulder hats, hats, or other background pieces are allowed.
  • (iii)Non-professional or faces that are ‘unfit for military purpose’ are not to be used.
  • (iv)Guardsmen are permitted to keep and maintain a mustache while in uniform.
  • (v)No additional bling, or accessories other than sunglasses and neck gaiter masks are allowed. Guardsmen may be asked to take off their accessories if it is deemed to not be professional by MPI, Military Police, or NCO+
  • (vi)Guardsmen are to abide by the .
  • (vii)No UGC or “User Generated Content” shall be permitted unless explicitly authorized by QM Command. This authorization shall be on an external sheet.
    • - 1. The only exception to this is hair and mustache avatar items.
    • - 2. Hair and moustache items must be professional and consistent with military appearance standards, and must not clip past headgear.
  • (viii)Violation of OPREG-1008 [“Grooming Policy”] will result in disciplinary action by the Military Police Investigations.
  • (ix)Guardsmen must remove UGC items (hair and grooming) that do not require approval from QM Command when ordered to by a Non-Commissioned Officer and above, or by the Military Police.

2.EXEMPTIONS

• (a)Headquarters shall be exempt from all restrictions in OPREG-1008 [“Grooming Policy”].
• (b)Headquarters shall have the authority to reasonably issue an exemption OPREG-1008 [“Grooming Policy”].
• (c)Headquarters shall have the authority to change anything within OPREG-1008 [“Grooming Policy”].
• (d)The Commanding Officer of SFOD-B 2110 shall have the prerogative to issue exemptions on uniform regulations for the SFOD-B 2110 provided the approval of the Adjutant General.
