STATE GUARD EQUIPMENT AND VEHICLE USAGE

1. General Equipment Regulations (a) All State Guardsmen are required to hold a valid RFILD when in possession of a firearm, whether it's civilian or State Guard-issued.
2. Equipment Permitted to be Used by State Guardsmen (a) Civilian Weapons:
   • (i)Stetson M1
   • (ii)Salvo
   • (iii)Salvo Sunb
   • (iv)Cline 911
   • (v)Barrage 1014
   • (vi)Cardiac-5
   • (vii)Stetson M1-A
   • The use of the C5 and M1-A are permitted only if the State Guardsman holds a valid occupational AFL. (b) Other Equipment:
   • (i)Flashlight
   • (ii)Radio (at the discretion of the Adjutant General or individuals expressly delegated with that privilege) (c) Ammunition:
   • (i)State guardsmen may utilize the specific ammunition required for their firearm which includes:
     • 9mm ammo (blue)
     • 5.56 ammo (green)
     • .45 OCP ammo (purple)
     • Shell ammo (red)
   • (ii)Guardsmen may only hold a maximum of six (6) boxes per ammunition type. (d) Special Scenario Weapons:
   • (i)At the discretion of the Adjutant General or individuals expressly delegated with that privilege:
     • Stetson M2M

3. Equipment and Gear Specifics (a) The specifics of equipment and gear vary based on the scenario. (b) Headquarters or State Guard Command can specify the type of equipment used in each scenario at their discretion:
   • (i)Trainings:
     • Civilian Weapons
   • (ii)State Guard Events:
     • Civilian Weapons
   • (iii)States of Emergencies:
     • Civilian Weapons
     • Special Scenario Weapons
   • (iv)Mutual Aids:
     • Civilian Weapons
   • (v)Wars:
     • Civilian Weapons
     • Special Scenario Weapons
4. General Vehicle Regulations (a) State Guard Lancaster:
   • (i)This vehicle is the exclusive mode of transportation authorized for State Guardsmen when carrying out their official duties.
   • (ii)All State Guardsmen operating the Lancaster truck must adhere to all State of Ridgeway vehicle operation laws. (b) Vehicle Restrictions:
   • (i)State Guardsmen are strictly prohibited from using civilian or police-issued vehicles.
   • (ii)State Guardsmen are also prohibited from giving ride-alongs to individuals who are neither members of the Ridgeway State Guard nor the State Guard.
   • (iii)While State Guardsmen are not permitted to operate Ridgeway State Guard vehicles as a general rule, exceptions may arise in extenuating circumstances (e.g., being stranded and requiring transport to the nearest vehicle spawner). In such cases, they are allowed to drive the vehicle strictly for the purpose mentioned.
   • (iv)State Guardsmen may accompany Ridgeway State Guardsmen in their vehicles, but only upon securing approval from the highest-ranking State Guardsman or National Guardsman present in the game.
5. Firearm Safety (a) Weapons are always to be pointed in a safe direction.
   • (i)Carelessly pointing a firearm is a reckless action and is a violation of the Code of Conduct. (b) Treat every weapon as if it were loaded. (c) Weapons, when equipped, are to be "At-Ease" if they are not actively being fired. (d) Never point your weapon at another person unless such action is directed by policy. (e) Ensure no one is down range, and that there is low risk of crossfire when discharging your weapon. (f) It is your responsibility to use your judgment when firing your weapon.
   • (i)Each discharge is of your own making.
6. Force Authorization; In General (a) The Ridgeway State Guard, while specializing in its deliverance of lethal force, shall never deliver such force when there are other means of force that could be applied. (b) When intercepting individuals who are trespassing, the State Guard employs a 3-step intervention process. These steps are:
   • (i)Intercept
   • (ii)Redirect
   • (iii)Execute (c) Intercept
   • (i)If there is an individual who is trespassing or loitering within the exclusion zone, you are to figure out their motives and their business they are trying to achieve by intercepting them. The goal of interception is to stop an individual while not escalating the situation.
   • (ii)If an individual is within the fence of the base, then you are to move directly to the Redirect step. (d) Redirect
   • (i)You are to give verbal warnings that their actions are in violation of the law and are frowned upon. It is generally best to practice asking nicely to avoid escalation. You are to then issue an order such that they comply with the laws of the State. (e) Execute
   • (i)If the individual does not comply and is within the posted signs of the exclusion zone, you are to then take corrective action by escalating your assertive directions, usage of non-lethal force, and requesting military police assistance.
   • (ii)If an individual does not comply within the posted signs of the exclusion zone, and they make any attempt to charge the base (sprint towards the base) then you are authorized to deploy lethal force.
   • (iii)If an individual does not comply, and is within the base, you are to take corrective action by escalating assertive directions, usage of non-lethal force, and requesting military police assistance.
   • (iv)If an individual does not comply, and is within the confines of the base, and makes any attempts to run, charge, or seek out any active training class formation, or other designated secure structure, lethal force shall be authorized. (f) In the event of an active shooter, guardsmen are authorized to deploy lethal force on any unauthorized individual who is brandishing a weapon.
   • (i)Common sense is to be used in the termination of all active shooters, and the determination thereof.
