STATE GUARD APPEARANCE POLICY

1.ACCESSORY GUIDELINES
- (a)The following accessory and uniform guidelines are in place for the State Guard:
- (i)Only uniforms approved by the Quartermasters are permitted.
- (ii)The use of headpieces, shoulder hats, or other unrelated background items is prohibited.
- (iii)Beyond standard eyewear, no additional accessories are allowed. (iv) Only faces deemed suitable for a military environment should be utilized.
- (v)Facial hair is generally not permitted.
- (vi)Certain State Guard units might be granted permission to maintain a neatly trimmed beard, with approval from the State Guard Command or Ridgeway National Guard Headquarters.
2.SPECIAL PERMISSIONS
- (a)Both the State Guard Command and the Ridgeway National Guard Headquarters are exempt from the restrictions in this policy.
- (b)The State Guard Command, in consultation with Ridgeway National Guard Headquarters, can grant individual exceptions to these guidelines when necessary.
- (c)The State Guard Command, with consultation from Ridgeway National Guard Headquarters, reserves the right to amend or update this policy as required.
