STATE GUARD CODE OF CONDUCT SECTION 3

1.OFFENSES (SECTION THREE)

• (a)Disruption of Official Event: Attempting to disrupt an official State Guard event.
• (b)Reckless Behavior: Taking actions that may harm another individual or deprive them of significant rights, conducted recklessly or carelessly.
• (c)Consistent Negligence in Professional Attire: Failing to wear official State Guard uniforms despite multiple reminders.
• (d)Repeated Lapse in Professional Demeanor: Not upholding professional behavior after multiple reminders to do so.
• (e)Negligence in Duty: Failing to perform a specified duty as per regulations, neglecting the code of conduct, or not addressing a complaint when in a position of authority.
• (f)Severe Incompetency: Acting or failing to act due to a lack of awareness or understanding of specific regulations.
• (g)Unsolicited Promotion Request: Directly asking a superior in the State Guard for a promotion without being prompted.
• (h)Misuse of Guard Vehicle or Vessel: Recklessly operating State Guard vehicles or vessels in a way that endangers oneself, State Guard property, or others.
• (i)Repeated Professional Misrepresentation: Behaving in a manner that negatively reflects on the State Guard due to incompetence or inappropriate behavior.
• (j)Consistent Failure in Proper Address: Not addressing superiors or colleagues in the State Guard correctly, even after multiple corrections.
• (k)Public Contempt for Officials: Demonstrating overt disdain or contempt towards any State Guard authority in a public setting. This does not limit private expressions of opinion.
• (l)Disrespect Towards Superiors: Displaying intentional disrespect towards a superior within the State Guard.
• (m)Illegal Detention or Arrest: Unlawfully detaining, arresting, or suspending an individual without the proper legal authority.
• (n)Insubordination: Refusing to follow the instructions of a State Guard superior officer.
• (o)Failure to Maintain Professional Attire: Not wearing the designated uniform or neglecting to wear a uniform entirely.
• (p)Lapse in Professional Demeanor: Not upholding the professionalism standards outlined in the State Guard regulations.
• (q)Misuse of State Guard Vehicle or Vessel: Recklessly using State Guard vehicles or vessels, endangering oneself, State Guard property, or others.
• (r)Public Contempt for State Guard Officials: Demonstrating overt public contempt or disrespect towards any authority within the State Guard.
• (s)Disrespect Towards Superiors: Displaying intentional disrespect towards a superior within the State Guard.
• (t)Failure to Uphold Professional Image: Acting in a way that negatively reflects on the State Guard, due to incompetence or inappropriate behavior.
• (u)Failure to Use Proper Address: Not addressing superiors or colleagues in the State Guard correctly.
• (v)Neglect of Courtesy Standards: Failing to adhere to the courtesy requirements defined by the State Guard.
• (w)Internal Malfeasance
  • (i)Lying, fraudulence, or any other form of immoral character behaviour in a manner that disrupts or obstructs the internal administrative processes of the Military Police Investigations
