SELECTIVE SERVICE BOARD

  1. Draft Board
    • (a) The Ridgeway Selective Service System shall be officially ordained as an administrative board under the Ridgeway Department of the Military.
    • (b) The Draft Board shall consist of the Adjutant General, the Commanding Officer of the Infantry Regiment of the National Guard, the Commanding Officer of the State Guard, and two other members as the Adjutant General shall direct.
    • (c)The Board may hire additional civilian employees to supplement its work.
  2. Draft List
    • (a) A registration form for the Selective Service shall be published and maintained by the Selective Service Board.
    • (b) Any citizen may register for the Selective Service.
    • (c)The Selective Service System Board may, as directed by the Governor of the State of Ridgeway during a time of war, call to active service within the State Guard individuals registered within the Selective Service System.
    • (d)The Selective Service System Board may do so randomly, by lottery, or on a person-by-person basis.
    • (e) Individuals who do not answer the call of duty when drafted will be removed from the Selective Service System.
  3. Training
    • (a) The State Guard shall establish and maintain an expedited training curriculum for those drafted to undergo.
    • (b) Drafted individuals shall be placed under a platoon in the State Guard called the Conscript Platoon.
